A ZZ Power Zerdirator has been installed and commissioned at S. Norton’s scrap metal recycling facility in Manchester, UK. The plant went live in October 2023 and can process up to 130 tons of recycled metal an hour since then. The shredder is part of a £20 million investment, which also includes a LINDEMANN EtaRip pre-shredder.

The 3,000 hp ZZ Power Zerdirator is the first shredder of-its-kind to be fitted with LINDEMANN’s sophisticated Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) system. The VFD is a medium voltage system ensuring the shredder drive remains highly consistent.
