Yesterday, LINDEMANN started into its Centennial with a stunning Metal Recycling Day at our production partner Severt, with special guest Tom Bird, President of BIR.
200 invited guests from all over the world as well as international trade media press came to admire the flagship machines EtaCut II and EtaPress, take part in a factory tour, listen to interesting speeches, and enjoy a memorable evening with a delicious dinner.
LINDEMANN would like to thank the speakers Daniela Entzian (BDSV), Philippe Russo (ArcelorMittal), Dr. Walter Hilgert (R&R Beth), Klemens Häusler (Software Management), Karl Hoffmann (STEINERT), and Markus Döbbelt (Spaleck).
Named after its 27-year-old founder Waldemar Lindemann, our company LINDEMANN was established on October 1, 1913, in Düsseldorf (Germany). In its early years, it focused on designing balers. Within the scope of the ongoing industrialization and technological advancements at that time, the scrap metal processing market skyrocketed. This inspired Waldemar to venture into the scrap processing industry. His father’s expertise in hydraulics turned out to be highly useful in this market expansion, especially for the development of the world‘s first hydraulic baler. Its launch in 1923 marked a major milestone that helped LINDEMANN break through into international markets.
To mark both of these key milestones in our company history – its foundation and its first steps into the metal recycling industry – we celebrate our double anniversary in 2023.
