Waldemar Lindemann founded his own trading company of the same name in Düsseldorf on October 1, 1913, at the age of 27. The idea struck him during a traineeship at an Antwerp export house, where he was responsible for logistics. He noticed that the more bulky and voluminous the goods, such as cotton, sisal or hemp, the more expensive it was to transport them.

Quality DIN EN ISO 9001

The quality of our products, services, and internal processes is important to meet and exceed customer expectations. Lindemann has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1995.


Authorised Economic Operator
The aim of the AEO status is to safeguard the entire international supply chain by ensuring that only certified companies are involved in the supply chain. Certification by the customs authority follows the idea of auditing all companies that operate across borders. This is to ensure that they are "safe participants" in the cross-border movement of goods.
Environment DIN EN ISO 14001

Recycling, our core business, plays a vital role in environmental protection and sustainability. Thus, it is also the basis of our own actions. We clearly demonstrated this through an audit for the first time in 2000.


German Water Resources Act

The design of our machines, as well as our own actions are guided by the requirements of the Water Resources Act, not least for environmental reasons. We have been demonstrating this in regular audits since 2007.


Security Certificate SCC** Contractors

The safety of our employees has the highest priority. Our occupational safety requirements are correspondingly high. In 2011, we had our occupational safety management system certified for the first time and now meet the strict requirements of SCC**.
